Chile-Fried Squid

Ingredients:

1/2 pound of squid
1/2 cups of cut onions
2 cloves of chopped garlic
4 fresh red chiles
1/2 teaspoons of salt
2 tablespoons of oil
1 teaspoons of Paprika
2 tablespoons tamarind water

Directions:

1. First, completely clean the squid. Then, remove the outer skin and slice the sacs into ring-like shapes. Next, beat and blend the garlic, onion, chiles, and salt until it turns into a paste. To prepare in a blender or food processor: Grind together with oil.
2. Add the paste to a skillet pre-heated with oil. Over a low heat, cook slowly adding paprika. Once oil has turned to red, turn heat up to high, adding the squid and tamarind water. Cook for approximately 2 minutes, until squid is done. Serve.
