HAM WINE SAUCE

½ T butter 1½ T flour
 1 can consommé
bay leaf  t thyme
 1 T sherry or Madeira
 
Melt butter and cook flour until well browned.  Add consommé, bay leaf and thyme.  Simmer 20 minutes.  Strain.  Add sherry.  Baste on ham during cooking.
