1 pound great northern beans, soaked
4 ounces onion, small dice
1 ounce Anaheim chili pepper, small dice
3 ounces molasses
3 ounces brown sugar
8 ounces catsup
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
tabasco sauce, to taste
salt and pepper, to taste

1. 1. Simmer the beans in water until almost tender, approximately 45 minutes. Drain well.

2. 2. Combine the remaining ingredients, blending well.

3. 3. Add the sauce to the beans, tossing to coat thoroughly. Adjust the seasonings.

4. 4. Place the beans in a hotel pan or a 2-quart (2-liter) baking dish. Cover and bake in a 350ºF (180ºC) oven until the beans are completely tender, approximately 30-40 minutes.

5. Yield: 1 1/2 quarts
