Apple Raisin Stuffing

3/4 cup of minced onion
1 1/2 cups of chopped celery
1 cup of butter
7 cups of soft bread cubes
1 tablespoon of salt
3 cups of finely chopped apples
3/4 cup of raisins
1 1/2 teaspoons of crushed sage leaves
1 teaspoon of thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon of pepper

In large skillet, cook and stir onion and celery in butter until onion is tender. Stir in about 1/3 of bread cubes. Turn into deep bowl. Add remaining ingredients and toss. Stuff turkey just before roasting. Yield 9 cups enough for a 12 pound turkey.
