Cheddar 'n Pecan Swirls

3/4 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package Fleischmann's® Quick-Rise Instant Yeast
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup milk
1 cup (4-ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Paprika

1.    In skillet, over medium heat, cook and stir onion in 2 tablespoons butter until tender; set aside.

2.    Set aside 1 cup flour. In large bowl, mix remaining flour, sugar, salt and yeast. In saucepan heat water, milk and remaining butter until hot to touch (125º to 130ºF); stir into dry mixture. Mix in only enough reserved flour to make soft dough. On lightly floured surface, knead 4 minutes.

3.    Roll dough to 14 × 8-inch (35 × 20-cm) rectangle. Spread onion mixture evenly over dough; sprinkle with cheese and pecans. Roll up from long side as for jelly roll; seal seam. Cut roll into 12 equal pieces. Arrange, cut-side up, in greased 8-inch round cake pan; cover. Place shallow pan on counter; half-fill with boiling water. Set wire rack over pan; place cake pan on rack. Let dough rise 20 minutes.

4.    Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 375ºF for 25 minutes or until done. Remove from pan; cool slightly on wire rack. Serve warm.
