Barbecue Sauce

8 ounces onion, small dice
1 ounce garlic, chopped
1 fluid ounce vegetable oil
6 fluid ounces red wine vinegar
1 ounce brown sugar
2 fluid ounces honey
8 fluid ounces beef stock
10 ounces ketchup
1 ounce dry mustard
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper, to taste
cayenne pepper, to taste


1. Sweat the onions and garlic in the oil until tender.

2. Combine the remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes.
